Case 01 . The process

You already have the file. You just need someone to read it.

Independent legal analysis works in four steps: you request your discovery, you upload what you have, a licensed Florida criminal defense trial attorney reads every page, and you receive a written analysis in plain English.

Serving criminal cases throughout the state of Florida.

Every analysis follows the same path, so you always know what happens next and what you will receive.

Case 02 . The four steps
  1. Step 01

    Request your discovery

Ask your attorney for a copy of your discovery. It is your case and you are entitled to your file. Most attorneys send it the same week. The probable cause affidavit is part of your discovery, and if your attorney does not have full discovery yet, we can begin with a cursory review from the probable cause affidavit alone and give you an initial read.

  2. Step 02

    Upload what you have

Discovery, the probable cause affidavit, plea offers, correspondence, anything you are unsure about. Upload it securely and we take it from there.

  3. Step 03

A Florida criminal defense trial attorney reads every page

Not a summary, not a skim. Our independent Florida criminal defense trial attorney, with no stake in your case, reviews the entire file and presents the information you need to know that your case is being handled properly.

  4. Step 04

    You get clarity, in writing

A written analysis in plain English: where your case stands, whether the strategy being employed is actually viable, what to ask your attorney, and what to do next.

You are not going behind anyone's back.

Getting an independent opinion on your own case is your right, and it is confidential. We do not contact your attorney. We do not take over your case. We are not here to replace your attorney. Most of the time, an analysis confirms your defense is on track, and knowing that is worth something too.

How to ask your attorney for your discovery

You can keep it simple. Something like: "I would like a copy of my complete discovery and the probable cause affidavit for my case. Please send it to me at this email address." You do not need to explain why you want it.

Turnaround

Typical timing expectations

  • Case Analysis and consultation: typically scheduled within a few business days of intake.
  • Full Defense Analysis: typically one to two weeks from the date your file is complete.
  • Complex Case Analysis: scoped and quoted individually after an initial review.
  • Timing depends on how quickly your documents and court records become available.

Choosing your level of review

Most people start with the written analysis and decide from there. If you want to compare the flat fee options side by side, the pricing page lays out what each one covers and what it costs.

This is a limited scope consultation, not legal representation, and does not create an ongoing attorney client relationship beyond the evaluation.

People also ask

What do I need to start a case analysis?
You need your case number or a few documents from your file, the name of your current attorney, and a short description of what is concerning you. That is enough to begin. Anything else we need, we ask for during the review.
Do I have to upload documents or can you pull the file?
In most Florida counties we can work from the case number alone because the Clerk of Court publishes the docket online, so uploads are optional. Uploading your retainer, key filings, and recent correspondence gives the review more depth. You can do both.
What happens after I get the written report?
After the report is delivered you schedule a consultation call to walk through it, ask questions, and clarify anything that is unclear. There is no obligation after that call. Most people use the report to have a better conversation with the attorney they already have.
